In the arena of love

Some know what they want;
others must search
before they can choose.

Some fall freely,
while others are drugged into affection,
held by feelings
they never consented to feel.

Some say yes
not out of certainty,
but because they never believed
they were worthy of love
in the first place.

The saddest loss
is not losing love,
but losing everyone
for someone
who never truly had you in mind.

Yet still—
in the arena of love,
planned or unplanned,
chosen or unexpected,
every soul and every story
deserves love.
